Tamannah loses 6 Kilos for ‘Baahubali’

Tamannaah is working hard to prepare herself for ‘Baahubali’. She is currently in Sofia, the capital city of Bulgaria, shooting for the film along with the team. But she is simultaneously working her way to a slim figure for her role in the movie.
She shared her weight loss plan with the media, “People have seen me playing the glam doll all the time and this role will come as a revelation. I play Avanthika, a character from an unspecified era. A lot of thought went into the costume and jewellery to get the look right. Director Rajamouli asked me to lose 5-6kg to look the part, so I followed a stringent workout and diet regimen to get the look right.” The first look of ‘Baahubali’ was released on 21st December- this coincided with the actress’s birthday. It featured her in an ethnic white and golden outfit and her gorgeous looks were widely appreciated.
The S. S. Rajamouli directed epic drama would be released on 17th April 2015 in Telugu and Tamil. Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Tamannah and Rana Daggubati, would be seen in lead roles. The entire team is putting a lot of efforts into their role. Anushka, Prabhas and Rana are dedicatedly practicing sword fighting. As for Tamannah, she would play the challenging role of ‘Avantika’. She has been working to become adept at horse riding, as well as archery. She would be seen in a totally new avatar. Her role in the movie involves many dangerous stunts for which she has shed kilos and practiced a lot.
Tamannah has previously appeared in several South Indian films, such as ‘Sri,’, ‘Kedi’ and ‘Happy Days’. The turning point in her career was the ‘Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam’, a 2009 Telugu release. Her acting was well appreciated in this film that won three Nandi Awards. She has, since then, been quite busy with her filmy career. But in October this year, she decided to take a break and spare some time for her family as her tight schedule made her miss all the family gatherings. She took a month long break from her work and used some of the time to do photo shoots for brands, commercials and visited retail openings.
The film ‘Baahubali’ consists of international crew members. November 3rd onwards, Phillipe Van Leer the world famous Foley artiste started working for the ‘Baahubali’ team in Belgium at Dame Blanche complex. The gripping action and all the stunts have been choreographed by Peter Hein.
