Talent and glamour is what needed for a heroine to become a successful commercial heroine in Indian cinema. If one works just for awards, then no way there is fame and money, though lot of merit certificates will pile up in showcase.
One such actress is Lakshmi Menon, whose dusky looks doesn’t indicate she is a heroine material. After winning critical acclaim for Gajaraju and Palnadu movies, she is now heading for commercial masala roles. In her upcoming second-time pairing with Vishal in ‘Naan Sigappu Manithan‘, she locked lips with the hero for a longer time.
Though the unit denied such kiss all these days, Lakshmi has now confirmed that there is a kiss indeed. She supported the kiss saying that the scene demanded a hot and lengthy lip-kiss but it is not vulgar and just for the sake of showing glamour.
Anyway, Lakshmi Menon who earlier thought of picking up roles that offer only ‘awards’ has now made it clear with her ‘lip kiss’ regarding her future plans. So, directors and heroes may rush to his starlet as she is a mix of both performance and glamour now.
