Actress Samantha receiving Best Actor Female in both Tamil and Telugu categories at 60th Idea Filmfare Awards South. She is the only actress after Revathy garu in 1992 to win Filmfares for Best Actor Female in the same year. 

 movies such as Neethane En Ponvasantham and Eega turned her fortunes around and she made the entire South sit up and take notice of her acting skills too. Her exploits in these movies were recognized by the Filmfare jury as she was judged as the Best Actress in both Tamil and Telugu.

This is for the first time in 21 years that the same actress has won the Best Actress honor for both Tamil and Telugu. Revathi had achieved a similar feat in 1992, when she won for Thevar Magan and Ankuram. 

Samantha's special friend Siddharth brought out this little trivia in his social networking space and Samantha promptly replied stating that she missed his presence badly at the Awards gala.
